Tree detection/cover
Trained with lidar and GaoFen high resolution images. Trees are mapped as gaussians at 3-m from GaoFen-1, PlanetScope, Landsat and Sentinel-2. The heatmap is used as mask for all other products and can be scaled to reflect tree cover.
Canopy height
Trained with airborne lidar. Canopy height is predicted from Sentinel-2, PlanetScope, and Landsat at 3-m. Uses the tree detection as mask.
Aboveground biomass
Converted from canopy height using field plot data at 30-m resolution.
Forest structure
The horizontal forest structure derived from tree-level attributes, such as relative crown size, distance between trees, and Ripley's K. Trained with sub-meter GaoFen-2 and scaled with PlanetScope.
